Save your favorite pair of jeans with Denim Therapy

By  |

Did you ever find the perfect pair of irreplaceable jeans; the deuce that fits you like a glove? As soon as you tried them on it was like cupid shot you with his needle-pointed arrow?  I did, and this was not your average exasperating affair. For me it was love at first sight!  I was no longer oppressed. Dinners, dancing, birthday parties, shopping… we had been together weekly for the past five years.  Well, I don’t believe in breakups and I had no intention of parting with my exquisite jeans, my life was now sultry and adventurous. We said our vows and I was in it for the long haul. Then one day they ripped. I was devastated. I thought it was the end!

I frantically tore through every impressive clothing store in Manhattan, but I just could not find the perfect pair to rebound.  Then, one day, a friend of mine mentioned therapy – there was hope. I didn’t think I had become so depressed that I needed to see a therapist, but she sent me to the ultimate therapist – Denim Therapy.

From holes and tears to hardware, hems, tailoring and monogramming, Denim Therapy is the place to go. You do not have to part with your favorite jeans, you can savor them forever.  Their “door-to-door shipping and complete professional attention every step of the way is how they like to work. Each denim assessment and reconstruction is done individually, one denim patient at a time. Every jean is different in its construction and wear. And of course, every ripped area and every service request is different.”

before-after

I dropped my jeans off at their Manhattan location. Within two weeks they were repaired for a low cost, and mailed back to my home. My jeans and I are back to our weekly explorations, going on six years now.

After an incredible, personalized experience, I reversed the tables and asked my therapist a few questions. Here is what she had to say:

What was the reason you started Denim Therapy?

I had a favorite pair of jeans and wasn’t willing to part ways so decided to find a solution.

How long have you been at your current location in New York City?

Three years.

What has been your biggest challenge as a business owner?

Spreading the word. People don’t know they can fix their jeans!

Tell me what separates you from the rest of the similar, competitive companies out there?

We truly understand denim and the value of customer service with the benefits of being online.

Is there anything new that we can expect from you – starting in 2015?

We will keep repairing jeans!!
