DIY AT HOME ALL NATURAL FRUIT FACIAL

By  |

Facials should be an important part of every women’s routine to maintain a glowing and healthy skin. Of course, every woman loves to get pampered with facials. But not every woman can afford those expensive pampering sessions in the saloon on a regular basis. What’s better than an all-natural, at home DIY facial with the ingredients right from your kitchen?? Here is a step by step explanation on how to do the DIY facial:

CLEANSE:

You need to start with a clean skin to ensure that you reap maximum benefits out of this facial. Instead of a regular cleanser, you can go all natural by mixing a tablespoon of raw milk with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Using a cotton pad, apply this mixture on your face and gently rub off the excess oil and dirt.

STEAM:

Take a bowl filled with really, really hot water. Place a towel in it, squeeze off the excess water and place it on your face to open up the pores.

EXFOLIATE:

Scrub your skin to get rid of the dead cells using this magical recipe!! Mix 1 tablespoon of oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of rice flour, 1 tablespoon of milk, 1 tablespoon of coarsely ground walnuts (optional) and 1/2 tablespoon of honey. Gently massage it onto your skin for 10 minutes. This will leave your skin glowing like never before!!

BLACKHEADS TREATMENT:

Make a paste with baking soda and water and apply this onto the areas affected by blackheads. Leave it until it is dry and clean off.

BLEACH: (optional)

Bleaching is a great way to lighten the dark spots and to even out the skin tone. Mix 1 tablespoon of tomato pulp, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of potato pulp and ½ tablespoon of honey and apply this mixture on the face for 10 minutes. Massage it gently for one minute and wipe it off with a cotton pad.

MASSAGE:

Take a tablespoon of banana pulp and massage it on to your face for 10 minutes. This will make your skin silky smooth and gives an instant glow.

FACIAL MASK:

You will be having the leftovers from the steps exfoliation, bleach and massage. Take a tablespoon of any clay of your choice (Indian Healing clay and French clay are my all-time favorites) and mix it with the leftovers. Add some rosewater to it. Apply it all over the face excluding the eye area. Soak two cotton pads in rose water and place them on your eyes. Lay down and relax. Once the mask is dry, spray it with rose water and remove the mask by massaging in circular motions.

MOISTURIZE:

The clay mask will leave your pores squeaky clean and you need to finish off by moisturizing your skin. You can use your regular moisturizer or if you are in the mood for extra pampering, treat yourself to a sheet mask. Sheet masks provide intense hydration and leave your skin baby soft.
