Michael J Fox self-lacing sneaker has finally made it to the future
It was 1989 when the world first saw the idea of self-lacing kicks. Michael J. Fox had that epic moment in the beginning of Back To The Future 2 of watching his Nike Air Mags light up and lace up by themselves. Sneakerheads have been patiently waiting since 1989 for the opportunity to have self-lacing shoes. We expected that first adaptive lacing shoe would be the Air Mag but Nike creates an entirely new shoe and has taking the first small step into the future.
Designed by the great Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker, the Nike Hyperadapt 1.0 is a runner shoe made for athletes that will prevent shoes loosing up and untying. The adaptive lacing technology laces up tight and remains tight to keep an athletes foot complete locked in without having to worry about your shoe becoming loose while competing. Two buttons on the side of the shoe are placed to either tighten the laces or loosen them. Inside the shoe there is a sensor that will detect when your shoe needs to be laced up tighter. Superstar athlete Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the first athletes to try shoe and was amazed at the technology. Nike has truly shocked the world and this technology is truly out of this world!
Fans hope to have this shoe release this spring but no release date has been confirmed. For now we do know that three color ways will be featured. One in white with a brown bottom, a star stellar black, and a sleek grey color way, that is just outstanding. Nike never disappoints and they have taken the first step in self-lacing technology. Hopefully this technology will be featured on the Nike Air Mag but for now this will satisfy the world. Take a look at the Nike Video and Images below and stay tuned for more information regarding a release date.
