Ah, Sydney. The most populous city in the Land Down Under is truly one of those cities that simply have a soul. It doesn’t matter whether you’re Australian or not, visiting Sydney should definitely be on your bucket list. When it comes to cities this big, it’s even fair to say that Sydney is probably the most beautiful of them all. Why? It’s rather simple. The landmarks, amazing architecture, eye-pleasing botanic gardens, splendid harbor, and of course sun-bathed beaches are great, and they can leave a long-lasting impression on anyone who decides to visit.

Energy is something that you can simply feel in the air in Sydney. The city’s buzzing all the time, and after a while, a person can honestly feel like they are becoming a part of something bigger.

Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens are one of the oldest in the Southern Hemisphere. It all started in 1810 with Governor Macquarie and his wife, and over time it grew into this oasis of calm in the middle of a concrete jungle. If you get tired of walking and looking at all those magnificent plants, you can always grab a bite or sip hot tea and coffee in the Botanic Gardens restaurant.

Prepare to get completely wet! Grab your bikini, grab your snorkels and take a trip to Gordon’s Bay. Sydney is famous for its beaches and marine life, and here you can experience it up close. The water is crystal clear, and you can easily spot starfish, blue gropers, and even baby sharks! Yup, baby sharks are cute, if you were wondering about that.

The best thing is that a large portion of the money you’ll spend there is going towards funding noble causes. So, buy a plush toy for your niece (or yourself) and help save a species from extinction.

Ok, let’s get this clear. You simply cannot visit Sydney and avoid taking a tour of the Sydney Opera House. This mind-blowing building shaped like blowing sails or shells (depending on who you ask) is this city’s star attraction.

Take an organized tour and get a good look behind the scenes. Take a stroll through theaters, studios, exhibition rooms and a concert hall. And make sure to snap a couple of pictures, no one will mind.

The water is clear, the sand is soft, and the people on this beach are really good looking. Seriously, a person could spend all day just watching those beautiful bodies!

Sydney is a joy to explore, and there are many things that are not on this list, but they should be. One thing is for sure – Sydney will stay in your mind and your heart forever after you visit it.
