Experience Columbus Annual Meeting outlines exciting things to come in Columbus, Ohio!
On Tuesday March 10th, Experience Columbus held its Annual Meeting to celebrate the city’s 2014 achievements as well as what’s to come in 2015. And there’s plenty to come!
Focusing here on Columbus’ hot fashion scene, 2015 will bring some of the most exciting events, shows, parties and showcases the citys ever seen. Capital Style magazine’s 1st Annual Fashion Runway Show in April, (Columbus College of Art and Design), CCAD’s Senior Fashion Show and VIP party in May, Fashion Meets Music Festival (FMMF) in September and CMH Fashion Week‘s full week of events in October, the city is THE place to be!
First, Capital Style magazine will present its first ever fashion runway show on April 9th at Strongwater Columbus‘ modern eclectic venue. The show will feature six of the city’s best and most popular boutiques – Thread, Rowe, Ladybird, Leal, Happy Go Lucky Her and LeFlair.

“The Capital Style Runway Show will benefit Dress for Success Columbus and includes a social hour with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a sample sale to offer discounted pieces exclusively to guests and other sponsor engagement. In May, the event that attracts the who’s who of Columbus, CCAD will hold its annual Senior Fashion Show May 8th. This show features the best of the senior class designers who show promise in design and artistry in fashion. The event includes a VIP cocktail party, runway show featuring 20 designers and an after-party. See the future stars of fashion on May 8th and visit CCAD.edu for tickets.
The Fashion Meets Music Festival (Sept 4-5) is next up with a stellar list of national and local musical artists and fashion designers. The event is in its second year in Columbus and looks to be one of the most anticipated yearly events that marry music and fashion. Finally, the fashion event that brings attendees from all over the U.S. to Europe and beyond, CMH Fashion Week. In its sixth year, 2015 is set to be the best yet! CMH Fashion Week is the second largest Fashion Week in the Midwest and features up and coming as well as established, well known designers. 2014’s headlining designer was Project Runway alumnus and Ohio native Althea Harper. This year’s headliner?
CMH Fashion Week kicks off October 4th with its annual High Fashion Tea. This exclusive invite only event is just one of the week’s highlights. The remainder of the week includes industry mixers, a bridal runway show and culminates with it’s Finale Runway Show on Saturday Oct, 10th at the Columbus Anthenaum. It’s a week you don’t want to miss!
