Clients, sponsors and vendors filled Metropolis Salon in Princeton, NJ for wine & cheese to celebrate their partnership with Green Circle Salons, the only salon specific recycling company in North America. As one of the first salons in New Jersey to participate, Metropolis is pioneering the way to a greener future for salons.
Green Circle Salons offer salons like Metropolis the ability to recycle up to 95% of the salon waste including paper/plastic/glass that most salons would typically throw out as well as the hair, metals and color by-products left in the bowls after hair treatments. Their mission is to make the North American salon industry sustainable by 2020. Not only do they make an impact by diminishing the waste reaching the land fills, Green Circle Salons also gives back to the community. “One of the Foundations we often do work with in the name of our member salons during promotions is The Arbor Day Foundation, a non-profit conservation organization. We are committed to giving back 5% of our pre-tax profits to work with local and international organizations to support programs that create positive social and environmental change.” said Amy Goei of Green Circles Salon during the Metropolis event.
