THE YEAR IS 2065. IT HAS BEEN TEN YEARS SINCE THE COVETED PRE-CRIME UNIT WAS DISMANTLED, AND THE ONCE EXPLOITED PRECOGS (SIBLINGS DASH, ARTHUR AND AGATHA) HAVE REGAINED THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND ARE FACED WITH THE DAUNTING QUESTION OF WHETHER OR NOT TO REENTER THE MODERN SOCIETY THAT ONCE IMPRISONED THEM IN ORDER TO USE THEIR GIFT OF PREDICTING CRIMES FOR THE GREATER GOOD. THIS IS WHERE THE OFFICIAL SEQUEL OF TOM CRUISE’S 2002 BLOCKBUSTER “MINORITY REPORT” SETS THE STAGE AND WILL KICK OFF THIS SEPTEMBER ON FOX.
Considered to be somewhat of a late bloomer (Regan’s first contact with the study of the dramatic arts wasn’t until the age of 21), it was a perfect case of serendipity that helped ignite her passion for acting. Regan had initially wanted to become a professional dancer, but an unfortunate injury at the age of 16 left her dreams of performing shattered. This created an undeniable thirst to find alternative platforms through which to achieve artistic expression. But it wasn’t until Regan attended college in Canada, that she first became introduced to the beauty of the dramatic arts. “I admire those who know from very early on what it is that they want to do” Regan says “but I needed those extra years to become confident enough and gain the courage to admit that acting was what I was meant to do in life”.
Having shown a profound fascination for interpreting dramatic characters throughout her career, Agatha’s enticingly daunting legacy seems to make the duo a match made in heaven for Regan as an actor. “Don’t get me wrong” she explains “I would love to take on more comedy roles, but I must say that I am extremely drawn to darker, more troubled characters. They allow me to feel emotions that I don’t get to experience in everyday life”. Agatha definitely fits the profile. Having been ripped from society from a very early age and having been placed in what can only be described as an induced catatonic state of bare consciousness, the fact that her and her two siblings were forced to live their lives submerged in photon milk baths within the Pre-Crime Unit in order to exploit their miraculous gift of predicting the future definitely gives Agatha an incredibly history to explore. The series will follow Agatha’s personal search of redemption, examining her inner struggle between regaining control over her own destiny, and learning to trust humanity again. For those who wish to find out whether or not Agatha will decide to follow her siblings back into modern society and use her gifts for the greater good, “Minority Report” is scheduled to air on FOX on September 21, 2015. “Whatever path Agatha will decide to follow is something that of course only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, Agatha has an agenda”.
