Nigel Barker Attends In Christy’s Shoes – Sole Celebration

On Thursday May 14^th, the 7^th annual In Christy’s Shoes Celebration took place at Saint Charles Preparatory School in Columbus, OH.

The event is an occasion of celebration for the life of Christy Levy-Peters. Christy, an avid shoe lover succumbed to brain cancer in 2007. Christy was the twin sister of Katrina Levy-Zidel who chose to honor her sister’s legacy and raise funds to help those suffering from the illness that claimed her sister’s life.

The event began as a simple gathering but has since grown beyond the Columbus market to Washington, DC and Arlington, VA. In Christy’s Shoes has now become the gala to go to in all its markets. With the focus of ‘giving back’, the organization hosts annual events featuring shoe fashion shows with sponsors including DSW shoes and fashions by Express.

This year’s Columbus event featured not only a shoe fashion show but special guests Nigel Barker, 17 season host of America’s Next Top Model, Dominique Reighard, singer and America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10 contestant and Keith Carlos, the first male winner of America’s Next Top Model.

Nigel Barker greeting attendees posed for photos and signed copies of his new book, ‘Models of Influence’ while Keith Carlos made a special appearance on the runway to the delight of guests. Dominique Reighard in addition to her featured appearance, also helped coordinate the successful event.

Fabulous food, drink and celebrity guests were not the only highlights of the evening. A huge silent auction included signed Beverly DeAngelo Christian Loubouton’s, Saks Fifth Avenue gift baskets, special event tickets as well as other celebrity signed shoes.
