Nike KD 10 “Still KD” with a Twist

By  |

nike-airNike is one of the most innovative companies in the world and coming up with new ways to change the athletic and fashion world is what they do best. This time it’s not just a new shoe or a new colorway but an innovative take on sneaker releasing. The Nike KD 10 is the latest model in Kevin Durant’s signature line that will be releasing during game 1 of the NBA Finals at 9pm (June 1st). Nike has decided to flip a new switch by only allowing the model to be purchased on their “SNKRS” app whenever Kevin Durant is on the floor during the game. Whenever Durant checks out of the game, takes a time-out, and during halftime the shoes will go offline and won’t be available for purchase.nike-air

This new take on releasing is strange but very intriguing in that this could lead to trend for more signature athletes during pivotal games. We could see other popular signature Nike athletes like Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, and Paul George follow the same line. The model releasing features a flyknit upper decked in a all white upper and chrome swoosh. Nike has decided to keep the flyknit trend rolling and is gearing this model mostly in the performance lane.

A release like this is so strange and crazy that it’s ingenious! Along with the shoe, some lucky sneakerheads will be given a special box, a signature KD pin, and personal letter written by Kevin Durant himself. As you enjoy an amazing game 1 of the finals, don’t forget to check the SNKRS app for the Nike KD 10, but make sure Kevin is on the court first.
