Nike Kobe 11 Achilles Heel

By  |

Swan songs are one of saddest things to witness and hear in someone’s life. And when it comes to athletes watching them retire or leave hurts the soul. This is the last year that world will witness the great Kobe Bryant playing in purple and gold. With that last year this is also the last time the Mamba will be seen in his signature Nike line. The Nike Kobe 11 will be the final shoe to be worn on court by Kobe. Kobe has been with Nike since the summer of 2003 after his contract ended with Adidas. He received his first signature shoe in 2005 and from there greatness was born. The Kobe signature line has been one of Nike’s most successful next to Jordan brand and LeBron’s line. Many of the shoes feature a low model, and it was only right that the Kobe 11 follow in the same footsteps.

This new model features upgraded flyknit that makes this model more durable than its predecessors. The first color way pays tribute to the painful Achilles tendon injury Kobe suffered in 2012. This model features an all Red upper that transcends to black along the back of the shoe. The bottom features a transparent outsole that covers the traction pattern. On the back of the right shoe features the Greek god Achilles that is just awesome!

Eric Avar has been the mastermind behind Kobe’s signature line and he has again created greatness and possibly the best Nike shoe of 2016. Many more color ways are set to be released, but for now check out the images below of the “Achilles Hell” along with the video.
