Pastels: the new neutral
As with every year around this time, bright colors are the ‘go-to’ thing. This year, instead of the bright berry colors and yellows, pastels are the new neutrals. When you’re thinking pastels, think petal pinks, mint green, soft salmon, baby blues, and off whites. These are all colors that you want to consider to add into your wardrobe. A good way to feed them in are through purchasing flowy blouses in pale pink, and mint to wear with light blue denim and white jeans. The soft salmon is an amazing color when paired with navy blue and khaki bottoms. Soft whites and creams are the perfect colors to be used to fuse all the pastels together. Think of throwing an off white cardigan over a pastel tank paired with jeans. Another option would be doing a white, long swing jacket or trench made of light fabric over a pastel blouse. Pair these two with tight fitting skinny jeans and a cognac wedge or pointed pump. A preppy pair of flat front shorts would look amazing with this look as well.
