Summer Style Steal!

By  |

With summer in full effect, every self respecting fashionista needs a reworked wardrobe. Put away your coats and gloves and leave the umbrella at home…(or if you’re in California like I am, keep doing what you’re doing…it’s always summer here!) Summer 2015 is upon us! So instead of spending hours and hours downtown shopping and never being able to find anything, I did the shopping for you! Who wants to drop an entire paycheck on clothing when you can get perfect on trend items at under $100? Check out my top picks that I think every frugal and fashion-obsessed woman needs in their closet this summer:

An Easy T-Shirt Dress:

TeeShirt Dress

This one is a style staple, everybody! This light easy t-shirt dress can go with anything. Throw a chambray denim shirt on and pull on your white converse and you have an easy shopping or lunch outfit! Put on a black blazer and strap yourself into some lace-up heels and you’re all set for that date next week! This dress is so easy and fun and can be paired so many different ways. And at $22, it is an absolute steal and something you definitely need in your closet this summer.  Shop this look: Jenelle Dress, Brandy Melville

A Statement Crop Top:

Crochet is a huge summer trend this season and it’s such an easy trend to pull off with this fringed crop top. At just $30, this top could easily be the start of a boho beach-ready outfit or can even be paired with some high waisted black jeans and heels to go out in. This is also perfect for a daytime concert or festival and you’ll never get too hot in it. Shop this look: Crochet Crop Tank, Victoria Secret

Distressed Denim Jeans:

This wash is the perfect color for summer and the distress is a big trend for denim! The thing about these is that you can really pair them with anything and very easily take them from day to night. Pair these with a good pair of booties and a sheer fabric shirt for a daytime look then swap the booties for some heels and you’re ready for night! These are another style staple that you can wear day after day and in so many different ways! And for a pair of high-end, amazing quality designer jeans, $88 is an incredible price.  Shop this look: Blank Denim, Shop Bop

Distressed Denim Shorts:

Repeat after me: “every woman needs a pair of One Teaspoons”. Ladies…these shorts are literal miracles. They are great on any body type and are insanely cute. They are perfect for a day at the beach or a day downtown and can be styled so many different ways. I’d pair them with an easy crop top, a pair of gladiator sandals and a wide-brim beach hat for some fun in the sun (which translates to laying out in the warm sand and working on that tan) or throw on an old school denim snapback, an oversized tee and your favorite pair of sneakers (I’m partial to some clean white Nike Air Force 1’s) and you’ve got a cool California skater/surfer vibe. If you want to go all-out 90’s with this look, tie an oversized flannel shirt around your waist. The distress is right on trend and these are absolutely perfect for summer. Shop this look: 1955 Bandits, One Teaspoon

Why sacrifice style to the heat when you can look trendy and amazing with a romper like this? White is a great color for summer and the dropped back will keep all eyes on you and will keep you cool under the warm sun! Pair with a sun hat and some cute tan wedges for day or throw a leather jacket over with a pair of nude pumps for a night-time concert or just to go out in. With a romper, you’ll definitely stand out from the sea of simple dresses and shorts and look amazing and stylish while doing it.  Shop this look: ASTR, Nordstrom
