Make the transition from summer to fall
It’s almost September, which means summer is coming to an end and fall is on its way. The leaves will change from green to beautiful reds, yellows and oranges. Changes in season calls for a transition in wardrobe. Swap out all your summer shorts and tanks for sweaters and scarves. It can be very difficult swapping your colorful, warm weather clothes for darker, warmer ones. With these tips you can keep some of your favorite summer pieces around all year long.
The Scarf
One of the most essential pieces to include in a fall wardrobe is a scarf. It should be knit and big. It will keep you cozy as the weather is getting chillier and happens to be the easiest way to make your summer t- shirts ready for fall.
Layer with Sweaters and Jackets
Another way to get your summer tops ready for fall is a sweater or jacket. By layering a knit sweater or leather jacket over the top the outfit won’t be too cool. Fall weather can be fickle and fluctuate throughout the day, so, layering is the perfect way to combat it. Jackets can be added or removed depending on the temperature.
Ankle Booties
Keep your favorite ankle boots and booties out instead of going straight to knee- high boots. Instead of wearing the booties with a summer dress or denim cut offs pair them with some skinny jeans. You can keep your summer dress around by layering a sweater or jacket over it and wearing tights instead of bare legs.
Leggings
Leggings a part of the wardrobe that can be used all year around. Changing up what is paired with them is the key. Instead of strappy crop tops and over- sized t- shirts wear leggings with an over- sized sweater or dress and motorcycle jacket. Swap your sandals and sneakers out with boots and booties.
Boyfriend Jeans
If you don’t want to get into wearing jeans just yet take the transition into cooler weather with baby steps. Swap shorts for capris and boyfriend jeans. They are not quite as long and wintery as jeans, but will keep you comfortable in the autumn weather.
