The 2016 Met Gala was held Monday in New York City. It’s the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, a black-tie event held the first Monday in May annually to raise money for the Costume Institute. Being the “Party of The Year”, designers and guests spend hours getting the perfect look. This year’s theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology.” Celebrities took the theme more seriously than others coming clad in silver pieces. These are the best and worst dressed for the party.

Best dressed:

Karlie Kloss looked professional and chic in her sexy, white gown.

Kendall Jenner looked amazing in her high ponytail and Versace blue and white dress.

Bey brought back the puff shoulder in her nude gown.

Emily Ratajkowski showed some leg in off the shoulder black and white dress.

Worst dressed:

NIcki Minaj was a bit much in her belted, sheer gown.

Alicia  Vikander’s dress looked a little too maid- like. The red leather threw the entire ensemble off.

Demi Lovato was not flattered in her silver, black and yellow gold gown.

Lady Gaga revealed a little too much in her leotard- like suit, fishnet tights and ultra platformed boots.

Madonna did not dress for her age in her knee- high boots and lacy leotard dress.
