The best and worst dressed at the 2016 Tony Awards

Broadway stars arrived at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Sunday for the 70th Tony Awards hosted by James Corden. Major winners of the night were Frank Langella with “Best Lead Actor in a Play” for The Father, David Diggs with “Best Featured Actor in a Musical” for Hamilton and Clint Ramos with “Best Costume Designer for a Play” for Eclipsed amongst many others. Aside from the awards, there were some major fashion moments at the Tony’s. These are the best and worst dressed of the night:

Best:

Allison Williams went for the menswear trend in a white pantsuit.

 

 

Jourdan Dunn looked gorgeous in a high low, Zac Posen gown.

 

 

Jane Krakowski looked amazing in a red mermaid shaped gown.

 

 

Lupita Nyong’o showed off her beautiful curves in a floral, off the shoulder dress.

 

 

Joan Smalls’s edgy look was by Altuzarra was perfect.

Worst:

 

 

Laura Michelle Kelly looked gorgeous in her red gown, but the loop accents threw off the whole ensemble.

 

 

Diane Lane wore a zebra printed jumpsuit and it was just a little too much pattern.

 

 

Keltie Knight revealed a little too much on her blush gown, The misshapen leg slit did not help the situation.

 

 

Emily Estefan looked a little mismatchy robot in her pant suit.

 

 

Lucy Liu looked a little frumpy in her halter top gown.
