New York Fashion Week brings the newest styles from some of the biggest houses in fashion. Some trends may continue like velvet or fur, but each collection has something new for the spring/summer. Check out the top trends to look for this spring.
New York Fashion Week is in full swing and throwing out fad after fad. Velvet, velour and fur are continuing to be on trend, but what else is new for spring and summer? The biggest houses in fashion have been showing what is next all week. From NYFW, these are the top trends to look for this spring:
Extra long sleeves. Michael Kors’s, The Row’s and Proenza’s collections all include sleeves that cover the hands.
One shoulder cut out. Tibi, Monse and Zimmerman have changed up showing off shoulders. The collections included perfectly cut out shoulders, but only on one side instead of having the common off the shoulder or shoulder cut out style.
Latex material. Tome, Marc Jacobs and Hood by Air have added another must have material to the list. Forget leather, this shiny almost plastic, latex material is in.
Streetwear everyday, all day. Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid, Alexander Wang and Yeezy Season 3 have redefined the meaning of streetwear for everywhere. Oversized hoodies and sweats were a staple in each collection.
Altuzarra, DVF and Jonathan Saunders have kept the Spanish style going for another season.
