There are few names in the history of sneakers that are iconic: Michael Jordan, Kanye West, Phil Knight, Tinker Hatfield, Sonny Vaccaro, and now Pharrell Williams.

Pharrell has always been one of the most influential fashion trendsetters in the world. Stars often follow his lead when it comes to fashion along with musical gifts. Age seems to have escaped him and for over a decade, and it’s hard to find a more influential figure that combined Hip Hop and fashion in the 21st century than Pharrell.

Since his signing with Adidas, Pharrell has taken over the sneaker world with his take on the NMD and his own sneaker in the Tennis HU model. His models instantly sell out and re-sell for astronomical values that even Jordan Brand has a hard time matching. Releasing this week will be Pharrell and Adidas iconic collaboration with House of Chanel. The model features a sleek black upper, contrasting white midsole, and featuring the words ‘Pharrell” on one shoe and “Chanel” on the other.

It’s amazing to see fashion houses combine with athletic brands to create masterpieces and this model may be the first of many to break the mold and introduce more fashion houses working with athletic brands. If your looking to grab this model, don’t get your hopes up. This model will release on November 25th through Chanel’s website and only 500 pairs are being released. With only 500 pairs Pharrell expects a super high resale price to surface in the next few weeks. In an interview with WWD, Pharrell stated that he expected the sneakers to possibly be as high as 40k! To see that number will break the hearts of the sneaker community but that’s just the hype we live in. Check out the stellar images below and let the hype begin.
