Air Jordan 1 WMNS “Satin” Shattered Backboard 1

Back in 2015, Jordan released one of it’s most iconic colorways in the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard. The idea of the model and colorway developed from the legendary story of Michael Jordan participating in a exhibition game wearing a orange and black jersey. During that game Jordan stunned the crowd with a vicious dunk that broke the backboard. This memory lives today as one of Jordan’s most famous moments and Jordan brand decided to honor it with the release of the Shattered Backboard model in 2015.

Jordan brand is bring the classic model back and this time it’s only for women. By bringing this model back, Jordan brand decided the model could use some new flare. The idea of using satin on the model is amazing and will surely be a summertime favorite. This recreated model features the original color scheme along with Satin featured on the heel and toe box. To finish off the model Jordan brand decided to add a translucent rubber outsole to give it more flare.

Most sneakerheads are frustrated that this model is only for women, but Jordan brand has stayed committed to try to market more towards women sneakerheads and have done a great job in 2018. More models are surely on the way and we can’t wait to see what they have looming in their lab. Be on the lookout for more stunning women models to be released in 2018.
