Kylie Jenner on track to become youngest billionaire
Kylie Jenner, as you may have heard, is the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. As of the 11th of June, she graced the cover of Forbes as a self made 20-year-old lady who has currently built a $900 million fortune from her cosmetic line of less than three years and is well on her way to becoming a billionaire, the youngest ever.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan, famously known for being famous, have capitalize on their assets to get the bags. Kylie was no exception. Being the youngest member of the tribe and with older sister, Kendall Jenner, delving into modeling as a full-time career, there were expectations from her as a teen. Having lived most of her life with the rest of the family on screen, it was easier for what would seem like a normal phase for any teenager to garner more attention from the media. The curse of fame, perhaps.
This phase coincided with the period she underwent various procedures on her body, her fuller lips of which roused the most attention and inspired the launch of Kylie cosmetics “lip kit”. With Kardashian West, Kylie’s half-sister garnering much attention and leveraging the fame from her booty, Kylie did the same exact thing for her lips. Actually, she did more. Today, she’s worth over $900m, Kim is worth around $350 million.
Building an empire of a cosmetic line under 3 years including appearances on TV programs and endorsement deals for the likes of PacSun clothing and puma shoes, Kylie has managed to build a staggering fortune and at the age of 20. As if that’s not quite awesome enough, she’s a mom too. Simply put, Kylie Jenner is an incredible young woman!
At her age, Kylie is the youngest woman to make it into the fourth annual ranking of America’s Richest Self-Made Women. That’s not all, at $900m, Kylie is just a year of steady growth away to becoming the youngest person to become a self-made billionaire, beating a certain Mark Zuckerberg, who held that crown after breaking the billion dollar mark at the age of 23.
Mark Zuckerberg is a social media guru and he made his money from creating arguably the biggest social media platform in Facebook. While Kylie may not be quite as technologically adept like Zuckerberg, she has also been able to leverage the power of social media. In her own words, “Social media is an amazing platform, I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.” With just around seven full-time and five part-time employees, Kylie’s empire has heavily depended on her huge social media followership.
While Kylie does not have the validity of the much heralded nobody-millionaire milestone she has done just as much in exploiting her early fame to create an empire that promises to only get bigger in years to come.
