Enjoy the Night Life of New Jersey at These 4 Hot Spots

New Jersey is a state known for some wild parties and unforgettable nightlife, but you don’t need to contend with crowds along the coast in Atlantic City to have a fun time. Montclair and the surrounding cities, which includes Newark, Jersey City, and Manhattan, are fantastic places for party animals.  These are four of the best places to go for a lively nightlife in the Montclair, New Jersey area.

The DLV Lounge

The DLV Lounge is a lounge and music venue where you can listen to a live jazz performance on select nights. The club is along Bloomfield Avenue near other bars and restaurants in Montclair, making it a fantastic choice for a night exploring this happening street in the city. The lounge is open daily from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Just Jake’s

Just Jake’s is a wonderful local option if you want to stay out late in Montclair. The bar and restaurant doubles as a music venue and hosts live performances on the weekends. Just Jake’s is also a sports bar, and if you visit during any event, you can count on mixing with a fun and lively crowd. In addition to live shows, you can stop by to watch NFL games and other sports. There’s also a patio space where you can relax outdoors.

Just Jake’s is at 30 Park St. It’s open Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to midnight.

Casa De Sal sa Social

Casa De Salsa Social is another nightlife option along Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. This is a once-per-month dancing event that’s held at Chad’s Event Venue. If you’re visiting on the third Saturday of the month, stop by from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. for a night of Salsa dancing, music, drinks, socializing, and more.

Cielo

Cielo is a club and venue that hosts big-name DJs, so in addition to a night of dancing, you’ll be treated to a live performance and have an authentic nightclub experience. Check out the schedule to find out which artists are scheduled for upcoming events.

Cielo is actually in Manhattan, but if you’re staying in Montclair, you can drive or use Lyft or Uber to get to the club quickly and affordably. This part of New York City is also very walkable, so it’s possible to stay in Montclair but commute to Manhattan for an upscale bar crawl. Plus, a room in Montclair will give you peace, quiet, and comfort after a night of dancing. As another option, you can book accommodations at a hotel that has its own lounge, which is perfect for a nightcap.

Cielo is located at 18 Little W 12th St. It’s open from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. and is within walking distance of subway lines.
