A Look at the UK’s Best-Selling Cars in 2020 So Far
There are thousands of different models of cars to choose from, but you will often see the same ones dominating UK roads. The best-selling cars so far in 2020 reveal which motors the UK prefers and it is safe to say that little has changed in recent times.
The Ford Fiesta has been the UK’s favourite car for a number of years and it looks like 2020 will be another year where it tops registrations. The supermini has 6,087 registrations in 2020 already and it is a car that appeals to every type of driver.
2020 looks set to be a good year for Ford in the UK as the Focus has had a very strong start to the year with 5,287 registrations to date. The Focus is another great all-rounder with an upmarket interior and excellent driving performance.
The surge in SUV popularity continues and the excellent Qashqai remains one of the best-selling cars in the UK despite the influx of competition that has arrived in recent times. The Qashqai has 4,608 in 2020 so far with many motorists opting to lease the desirable Nissan SUV.
The Vauxhall Corsa has been one of the most familiar sights on UK roads for many years, so it is no surprise that it has 4,373 registrations so far. A strong competitor to the Fiesta, the Corsa will be a tough competitor to the top-selling car over the remainder of the year.
Few cars are as popular as the VW Golf which has consistently been a strong seller in the UK and has 4,027 registrations so far. This is due to the Golf’s great build quality, reliability and comfortable interior which make it a good choice for all different types of motorist.
The A-Class from Mercedes is the most affordable way for motorists to own a car from the luxury brand which is why it has 3,214 registrations so far. As you would expect, the A-Class offers an exceptional experience behind the wheel along with a luxury interior and segment-leading tech spec.
The Sportage from Kia is off to a great start in 2020 with 2,457 registrations which makes it the 7th best-selling vehicle so far after finishing 10th in 2019. A strong rival to the Qashqai, the Sportage is appealing to many thanks to its seven-year/100,000 mile warranty.
These are the best-selling cars in the UK in 2020 so far. Little has changed compared to recent years which goes to show that the UK public have their favorites and they are sticking to them so far in 2020.
