If you want to contact a customer on their level, you need to be sure that you’re targeting them personally, and that they feel like you’ve got something to offer them. But how do you go about ensuring you’ve created a feeling of being valuable and relatable? Well, you can use a few marketing tricks hidden up your sleeve! And if you’re not sure where to start with a marketing program like this, we’ve collected some good points for you below.

Don’t Underestimate the Power of Your Mailing List

A mailing list can be a very powerful tool when used correctly. When you allow people the option to sign up to receive news as and when it drops, and exclusive promotions and money off discounts, you’re going to garner interest just by the possibility of being sent something unmissable! And that’s why a mailing list can do so much for your business. 

As long as you send out regular newsletters and promotions, a person is going to keep up to date with what you’ve got on offer very well. On the other hand, send out emails a little too often and there’s a good chance a person will either unsubscribe, or redirect everything you have to the spam folder… 

Be Convenient

Following on from the point above, you need to be convenient. You need to be a retail option that’s easy to access, well able to navigate, and like you’ve got the least annoying marketing program on the planet! Because people can become very overstimulated from seeing the same advert or website banner one too many times, and rather than following the rule of 7, a person can be turned off from ever buying one of your products in the future.

Because when someone receives it through their door, not only are they going to be struck by just how presentable the package looks, but they’re going to be very interested in what vouchers and/or upcoming promotion details you’ve included in the package! 

Simply put, make sure your branding doesn’t stop at the point of sale, and make sure there’s some post sale aftercare available for your customers. It’s one of the best ways to contact them on their level! 

If you want to get in touch with customers on their level, be sure to consider what they get up to everyday, and how you can fit into this. Don’t annoy, don’t be overbearing, and most of all, be as convenient as possible.
