  1. Pack Them as Daily Snacks

What type of snacks do you typically pack yourself before leaving for work each morning? Do you pack a few chips, candies, or something else? Do you pack yourself snacks to munch on at all?

Packing good fruits as a daily snack is a great way to incorporate fruit into your diet without having to make much of a change. If you don’t pack yourself snacks for work, then you might find that having something to munch on throughout the day is a great energy boost.

Place your fruit baggies or containers in the fridge and bring one out when you feel yourself becoming hungry before lunch or the end of the day. You can also keep fruit out and visible for quick snacking at home as well. Leave different fruits that don’t require refrigerating in a bowl on the counter.

When you walk past, you’ll feel tempted to grab one.

  1. Select Frozen Fruits

Fresh fruit isn’t your only option. Frozen fruits in the frozen section at the store are great finds as well. They’ll last you quite a while and can be used in several ways.

Place your favorite frozen fruit in a blender with ice, 100% fruit juice, and vanilla non-fat frozen yogurt to create a smoothie. You can find plenty of fruit smoothie recipes online. You can also place some frozen fruit in a puree blender to create a sherbet.

Another way to use frozen fruit is to simmer it for a glaze on top of meats for dinner. Yum!

  1. Give Yourself a Daily Goal to Reach

Sometimes it’s hard to get enough fruit each day if you don’t have a set goal in mind. To keep yourself on track, give yourself a daily goal to reach. If you’re not a fan of eating fruit by itself, you can start off slow and work your way up.

For example, when starting out, you can make your first week’s goal to add one fruit to your diet each day. For the second week, maybe you bring this number up to two fresh fruits a day. As each week passes by, you can raise your weekly goal.

  1. Walk on the Wild Side

You don’t care for fruit, but have you tried every fruit available to you? Chances are, there’s a lot of fruit on the shelves that you haven’t tried yet. Different fruits are available depending on the season, so be sure to check for new adds each season.

You can also ditch the grocery store trips and begin shopping for fruit at a local farmer’s market where the fruit will be fresher, and you might find more options. When you discover a fruit you’ve never tried before, it’s time to walk on the wild side.

Try something new, and pick out the fruits you’ve never had. You might discover a fruit that you really enjoy! You can also try an acai bowl if you’ve never had one before.

There are plenty of benefits of acai bowl consumption, and you can customize them to include some of your favorite things.

  1. Dip Them in Dark Chocolate

Dipping fruit in dark chocolate might seem like an unhealthy way to eat fruit, but dark chocolate is actually good for you when consumed in moderation. Select some strawberries, pineapples, grapes, and other fruits and dip them in melted dark chocolate.

Place them in the refrigerator to let the chocolate cool, or eat them just like that! If you don’t want to do the work yourself, you can also find dried fruits covered in chocolate at the store.

  1. Add Them to Your Salads

If you’re a salad lover, then you have to try adding fruit to your salads. Cranberries, apples, and strawberries are some favorites. You can find many places that sell salads with fruit, or you can make them yourself at home.

Both fresh fruit and dried fruits will work well on top of cold salads.

  1. Freeze Them Yourself

Sometimes, freezing fruit can make a huge difference. When you freeze certain fruits at home, they become similar to candy. Frozen grapes, strawberries, and blueberries are a few examples.

The texture of the fruit changes, and it makes it easy to snack on them as well. Take a few of these fruits or some of your own ideas and place them in the freezer. Allow them to freeze for a few hours and then pop one or two in your mouth.

Be careful, though, because they’re addicting!

  1. Drink 100% Fruit Juice

Drinking fruit juice is another great way to get your daily dose of fruit. Be sure that the fruit juice you drink is 100% fruit juice and doesn’t contain any added sugars.

Mix it with club soda to get your soda fix, if you’re a soda drinker!
