How to Reach A Larger Audience For Your Business

By  |

The more people that know about your business, the more likely it is that you’ll end up finding success. This is true of all companies, but especially online businesses. In the digital world, you have to work to get people to pay attention to your business (as opposed to brick and mortar stores, where people may just walk past).

In this blog, we’re going to run through some useful tips that’ll ensure you reach as much of the population as possible.

Build Your Following

You’d like to think that people would automatically go to your website or find your site through Google. While it’s important to build the SEO credentials of your website, don’t discount the power of social media. Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram give you a chance to present your goods and services to a large portion of the population. The amount of time that people are spending on social media is rising all the time, as is the number of users. If you want to reach the people, then you should go to where the people are!

Global Appeal

It’s possible that you’re only reaching 25% of your potential audience. Why? Because if you’re only marketing your business in English, then you’re keeping your offerings out of sight of the 75% of the world’s population that does not speak English. So why not look at marketing your company in other languages? It’s easy enough to translate your blog or to run a foreign-language social media page. Of course, it’s unlikely that you’ll have the resources to provide your marketing in all languages, but if there’s one country where you think your products will do especially well, then it’s worth making sure you can reach them.

A Variety of Mediums

You might be producing outstanding content that draws people into your business. However, if you’re only offering your content in one medium, then you’ll be unlikely to be engaging with as many people as you could be. Rather than, say, just writing blogs, you should look at also producing videos, infographics, podcasts, and more. Just as with learning, people respond to different content forms.

Cross-Promotions With Other Businesses

You’ll have worked hard to build your audience. And so will other companies. So why not do a mutual exchange? By working with other businesses, you’ll get access to their customers, and they will get access to yours. Of course, for this to be effective, then you’ll have to ensure that you’re partnering with a relevant company. It should be a business that’s thematically similar but not a direct competitor.

Use the Data

Finally, you use data to capture a bigger audience. For instance, you could look at Google trends to see what people are searching for. With that information, you’ll be able to write relevant blog posts and post content that you know people are looking for. If you’ve got your finger on the pulse, then you’ll be able to tap into the trends and provide relevant, engaging content.
