The Big Apple is considered by many to be the greatest city in the world. It’s certainly a contender, with Wall Street being the financial capital of the world, home to some of the biggest investment banks on the planet. 

It’s also home to some of the most iconic landmarks in both the United States and the world, with the Empire State Building towering over Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty welcoming guests as they arrive, and Central Park providing a peaceful retreat for New Yorkers.

Resorts World Casino New York City

Las Vegas doesn’t have a monopoly on casino resorts in the US and the Resorts World Casino New York City is a testament to that. Located close to JFK Airport, it’s a breeze to get there by both car and public transport (the A train stops right outside and will take you to and from Manhattan in minutes). It has everything you expect from a casino resort: several dining options, event space, bars, and of course casino games.

Inside the Resorts World Casino, you’ll find poker, slot machines, roulette, and blackjack. The St. Regis New York

Another luxury hotel in the heart of Manhattan, The St. Regis New York will set you back around $650 per night. For that money, you’re just four blocks from Central Park, as well as being within walking distance of Trump Tower, the Museum of Modern Art, the Top of the Rock and Rockefeller Center. 

All rooms are styled with Beaux-Arts detailing with luxury furniture, Bose sound systems, and fast internet. 

The Chatwal

The Chatwal is located in Theater District, two blocks from Times Square. It’s a great hotel for access to other parts of the city, with five Subway stations located close by. Central Park is still only a 15 minute walk away. 

Rooms are in an Art Deco style, giving The Chatwal a sophisticated boutique feel. They feel a lot more modern than the St. Regis and the Plaza, with more straight lines, and less gold. 

White nothing on the scale of the Plaza, The Chatwal has plenty of amenities. There’s a pool, spa, sauna and steam room, as well as a fitness center, restaurant, and bar. 

 Arlo NoMad

If you’re looking for something a little cheaper, Arlo NoMad is a micro hotel on 31st street, between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue. The rooms are much smaller than in other hotels, but it has plenty of communal space and is centrally located. This makes it great for people who just want “a place to stay” while they explore New York City. 

There are still plenty of facilities though. Guests are given complimentary passes to the New York Sports Club, which is just five blocks away. There is a bar and restaurant, as well as communal desk space that has a coworking feel.  

Prices are around half that of most others, yet you’ll still get everything you need from the Arlo NoMad.
