The New York Cosmetology and Beauty Chamber of Commerce, located on 2501 Grand Concourse in Bronx, New York is not just the only cosmetology chamber in the US, but an international one at that. Its residence includes countries such as the likes of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The sole purpose of a chamber of commerce is to help business professionals network together, while connecting them with resources to grow their business. In the spirit of this concept, The New York Cosmetology Chamber of Commerce specifically targets professionals in the beauty industry who are wanting to break into the industry. The chamber offers many resources for small business owners including classes, offering college certificates in cosmetology to those who seek one, assistance with creating business plans, help with searching for funding to assist start ups, and help creating a product for your brand, as they work close with the IRS so you can have ample information to mold your business into a thriving entity. The New York Cosmetology and Beauty Chamber of Commerce was founded by Charito Cisneros, who’s background includes over 35 years in cosmetology, having held positions ranging from being a small business owner to being a cosmetology instructor. She has lead this chamber to win several awards such as the “Small Business Champion Award.” This chamber now has over 5,000 members as it expands to the Connecticut area this year. Upcoming events include “The International Hair and Beauty Show” put on annually by Hype Hair Magazine. The show will take place May 18th and 19th at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ. This hair extravaganza will showcase some of the Tri-state’s best hairstylists, while offering an array of hair styling and cutting classes for those who attend.
