Cancun Underwater Museum
Cancun Underwater Museum contains over 500 sculptures, all of which are located under the sea. It’s the biggest underwater museum in the world and a popular attraction for those in the Cancun area. You’ll need to either get your flippers on or take a glass bottomed boat tour in order to see exhibits. On top of the statues, there could be a chance of seeing exotic marine wildlife ranging from sea turtles to stingrays.
Sulabh International Museum of Toilets
This New Delhi museum is dedicated entirely to toilets and features models collected from all around the world ranging from old to new. Its curator, Dr. Pathak, has been on a mission to introduce more toilets to India – half of homes in India are thought to still not contain a toilet. Using proceeds from the museum, Dr. Pathak has been building more public toilets around India so that more everyday people have access. It’s a funny museum with a serious cause.
Museum of Illusions
The Museum of Illusions is made up of various 3D scenes which its visitors’ can interact with. You’ll find locations across America, each with their own unique scenes. It’s a great place to let your imagination run wild, as well as taking lots of fun photos.
Iceland Phallological Museum
Located in Reykjavik, this museum is dedicated entirely to penises. You’ll find 280 penile specimens here belonging to all manner of species of animal. Once a private exhibition, its owner decided to make the exhibition public as it grew. The amount of specimens continues to grow to this day.
Instant Ramen Museum
The Instant Ramen Museum in Osaka is dedicated to – you guessed it – instant ramen noodles. It offers a quirky history of the ramen noodle along with various noodle-based exhibits. Admission is free and the museums is walking distance from Ikeda Station.
Dog Collar Museum
The Dog Collar museum is unusual not just because its sole focus is dog collars but because it is also based in a castle (Leeds Castle in England to be precise). In this museum, you’ll find dog collars and accessories from throughout time.
