Halloween might be over but we still have a whole month of Autumn left to enjoy before the festive season begins. Autumn is a wonderful time of year. It is a time with hay rides, parties, festivals and harvests… and it is a time where communities come together.
Today we are going to take a look at ways to make the most of your autumn days whether it be a free reading by Psychic Guild, late night walks, or evenings in the house with a movie or two.
Watch a fireworks display
Remember, remember, the 5th of November… It is a day that sparks firework displays every single year to commemorate the day that the plot to blow up the houses of parliament was thwarted. If you are looking for the perfect evening event to attend this weekend, a fireworks display is always the best.
Attend a Barn Dance
If you have never been to a barn dance before, you are sorely missing out on a fun time. Barn dances are amazing activities to enjoy and they are always fun to attend. It’s a great excuse to dress up in plaid and denim, and you’ll be able to spend an evening dancing, playing games, and enjoying a raffle or two.
Go Mountain Biking
Although summer is the time for adventure, it can often also be too hot to ride a bike for long distances. This is why autumn is the ideal time of year to enjoy a mountain biking trip, and you’ll be able to get some fresh air and enjoy the beautiful foliage that fills the landscape during this season.
Take a Scenic Drive
If you are feeling a little lazy on a Friday evening and you want something to do, going for a drive as the sun sets is the ideal activity. Get the perfect car playlist on in the car and simply enjoy driving through the winding roads around your area. It’s always fun to head for a drive and you may even discover new places you’ve never seen before.
Go Pumpkin Picking
It might be a little late to collect pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns, but it is never too late to pick a pumpkin to make into soup for the family or a nice pumpkin pie. Pumpkin picking is always fun and you’ll often see a whole rainbow of gourds that all have their own unique flavor.
Take Photographs
If you want to make the most of autumn before it is over for another year, why not take a few snapshots of the season? There are some beautiful colours in nature during autumn and you’ll likely see a lot of wildlife such as squirrels who are preparing for the winter. Enjoy the view and take a picture that will last forever!
Go Camping
For a weekend adventure, why not roll up your tent and sleeping bag and head into the woods? There is something calming about being in the great outdoors and it can be a great way to make the most of the weather as well as spend time with your family. Light the fire and toast some marshmallows for the ideal autumn trip!
