Conor McGregor is an irish UFC fighter and has the interim title of champion featherweight. His career has taken off within the last two years, especially after his knockout fight with Diego Brandao on UFC Fight Night Dublin in July 2014.[1]
Mcgregor, known as ‘The Notorious’, made a massive profit on his UFC 189 win. He made a disclosed profit of $500,000 for the fight and a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus of $50,000. Between sponsors and the pay per view profit he would have received another$1-2 million. As a total ‘The Nototorious’ made around $5 million for his UFC 189 fight. This is one of highest profits an MMA fighter has ever made.
UFC 189 was not only good to McGregor, but also the UFC. It was the second highest attended event in UFC history. The event drew a gate of $7.2m from the 16,019 fans attending. It was the biggest UFC event ever held in the US and in the MGM Grand.[2]
